William Shakespeare has well said ” He who hath no music in him is fit for treasons and spoils.” This statement looks so true and it wonderfully right in its own sense. In the early modernist era, a genre of music known as the Jazz music went on to become pretty popular and it is popular still. The Jazz music is marked by the incoherence of words and music. There is no sense of music and it looks more like a cacophony. Nonetheless, Jazz music gained momentum and it became one of the most popular style of music in those days. And the rest is history. Jazz music, till date is one of the most popular style of singing and you would find a lot of patrons of Jazz music. Let us acquaint ourselves with the annals of the Jazz music .
The early 20th century was marked by sorrow, dilemma and depression. With the death of queen Victoria in 1901, the Edwardian Era began which was a gloomy phase in the history. Then the second half of 20th century witnessed an immense sense of isolation and alienation with modernism and the World War I. Thomas Stern Eliot refers to the coherence of the Jazz music in so much incoherent world. The time, when everything seem to go wrong and nothing was in place, Jazz music became the soul of music and reflected the cacophony of the times. Again, World War II sabotaged the benefits and ethics of humanity and the human suffering was beyond endurance. Then the excellent economic depression drive to sadness and material loss. Then the advent of post modernism, the Jazz music had become so much in sync with the times that it became the voice of the deserted humanity and hapless individuals.

Let’s imagine what type of gadgets enable you to find pleasure in music all over the place you go, with which you would like to take the warm sunshine after noon while not getting burned eyes, or a fashion accessory that you could tout in front of all your friends? MP3 sunglasses is the one.
A typical mp3 sunglasses is in a distinctive form of half-frame with relatively sturdy and long arms. With middle-sized lens and ear piece neatly hanged at the end of each arm, it is suitable and fashionable for individuals of all ages. Isn’t it cool to wear a pair while sitting by a swimming poor and listening to all your favorite music?
like most sunglasses, it protects your eyes from the hurt of UV rays. Ultraviolet (UV) rays are located just past the violet portion of the visible light spectrum; sunlight is the central source. UV rays are dangerous, making sunglasses and sunscreen a must ; they don’t go through glass. With so a lot of lens colors available in the marketplace, buyer must get himself carefully informed before selecting one to suit his needs and conditions optimum. Gray lens tints reduce brightness, but do not distort color. Brown and amber tints reduce glare, including the glare created by the blue frequency in sunlight, which could make things appear hazy. Brown and amber tints distort colors more than gray tints do. Yellow lens tints reduce the haze from blue light better than browns, so they really sharpen up the view, but they cause more color distortion. Green tinted lenses reduce glare and endorse filter out some of the blue light. They offer good contrast betwixt objects. Rose colored lenses could be a good choice if you participate in water sports or other outdoor activities, because they offer good contrast for objects viewed against blue or green backgrounds.
As mp3 player, mp3 sunglasses is quite portable and innovative. Not every one like carrying an ipod all around, but I think there are a lot of individuals willing to wear glasses all the time. Not just because it is cool, it is the convenience of music access. Whenever you want some music, there is only one button away. It’s amazing that it plays music well, if not excellent, with all the vital components narrowly packed in the glasses arms. It guides mp3,wav,wma and other music formats depending on manufacturer differences. One could select any formats as the central format or use all of them. With the interior memory of 2GB or around , that means 100’s of music, it isn’t wonderfully satisfying to those music enthusiasts. And the whole performance back time is merely a few hours.
Good to know that it has FM radio tuner. If you’re tired of listening music, you could switch to the radio programs on the air. The latest mp3 sunglasses also equips Bluetooth, which enhance the portability and music sound. That means you could performance music from your cell and stream them to the glasses.
As a combination of music player and fashion accessory, mp3 sunglasses will definitely become the next hottest seek- after in the digital market.

And What You could Do About It
As I clicked on a popular music business forum, I was greeted with a question. “Why will not commercial radio performance music by Independent musician s?”
My reply to this person was as follows:
“As a former Operations Manager and Music Director on both the Comm and Non-Comm sides, Let me break the reason down for you.
Commercial Radio needs ratings to get paid from advertisers. Virtually all advertiser’s, on radio, are ad agencies. Ad agencies base their “buys” (sponsorships) on a fee per point (”CPP”) basis. CPP is based on how a lot of thousands of fans a radio station could capture in a 15 minute period (or cume).
a lot of commercial radio [Program and Music] don’t want to put thier ratings at risk, by airing an ‘untested song’ on the air. So what these commercial radio directors do, is, air music based on the national charts offer d by Radio and Records, Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) and Billboard.
The charts are mainly influenced by the major labels via promotions and strategic alliances.
Your optimum optimum is to do like Knarles Barkley. Knarles Barkleys’ single “Crazy” went #1 on the Internet and radio could n’t endorse but to get them the single on the air.
Get your music on music submission web site s, make some noise on the Internet, and get a compact disc Baby.com account so you could get your music on iTunes and start promoting.”
I suggested this because the music business is going digital. Clear Channel has a partnership with GarageBand.com where they will feature a certain amount of new musicians every week in on their web site. Since Clear Channel is the biggest and most innovative expansive caster in the music business, it is just a matter of time before the other cowardly copy-cat expansive casters will follow suit.
The world is going digital, while radio continutes to operate using an analog business model. You may be successful in the music business if you change your marketing model from analog to digital.

Music is an illusive and hard to define phenomenon. It’s more than just a bunch of sounds strung together, it is a magic that draws out our emotions and creates a feeling in our hearts. The rousing thing is that one person ’s music, is another person ’s compilation of random noises. The truth is no type of music is better than another type.
Let’s say you’re a high-brow lover of classical music (OK, that may be a stretch, but performance along – you could learn something). You are really into your Bach and Chopin, but you could not appreciate heavy metal or hip hop. To you they may be empty random sounds devoid of meaning. To you the beauty of classical music seems undeniable – not like that other stuff.
Nonetheless, the young urban kid feels the same way about their hip hop. To them hip hop is real and relevant. The lyrics are not just words, they convey a meaning that speaks to their fears, plights, and dreams. The music touches them in a individual way – a way that little else in their daily life can.
The fact is that music is an emotional experience that reflects the type of person that all of us are. What draws us to a certain genre or musical style is in essence the desire for understanding and acceptance. Each of us is a hand in search the glove that will make us feel the emotional guide that all of us need inside.
For one person they could need to feel normal and understood. They will like ly search out music that fills this void. They will appreciate lyrics that are a reflection of their lives and choice s. For another, they could find music that makes them feel inspired. Some are drawn to love tunes, while others to the blues.
Each of us needs to feel connected in life, and that’s more vital today than in any time in the past. Our society moves so fast, and the stability of family and community of yesteryear could not be present in our lives today. Each of us is searching for that musical soul mate that will make us feel completed.
Music is individual. The type of music all of us appreciate doesn’t depend on the music itself, but how the music fits us as individuals. No one type of music is better than another. Each is a unique individual experience that will touch some individuals in a way that makes them feel whole. All categories of music are valid. You could or could not appreciate a style – in fact, you may be bored by it or even offended. But you could not dismiss any type of music. Each represents a voice which must be heard in our society.
Since no type of music is better than another, that best ly means that no song is better than another, and thus no musician or singer is better than another. Each musician has something to bring to the table, an individual perspective that’s diverse than any person else’s. Sure all of us all have our preferences, and a particular singer could have better projection or be able to hit a note better. But those are technical elements. Music is an emotional response to a variety of acoustic elements. It’s not about how a song sounds, it is about how you hear it, it is about how it fits you.
Don’t be narrow in your appreciation of music. Search far and expansive for tunes that speak to you. Listen to the lyrics, feel the rhythm, let the music envelope you. Music could produce understanding across cultural barriers. Stretch beyond your comfort zone. Listen to musicians and styles that could seem foreign to you. You could just find a glove that fits your hand better than you ever imagined.

Different styles of music have diverse “sounds.” all of us can all pretty much agree on that point. For instance, Jazz uses seventh chords al most exclusively. This, and the type of chord progressions used in Jazz gives it its unique flavor. But what about new age music? Does it have it is own special ingredients? Yes it does.
Now, there are no hard and fast rules here but for the most part, new age music is a consonant music. That’s, there is little or noharshness going on in the music. No Saxes wailing and what not. Having said that all of us can eliminate most of the tense jazz chords and their voicing. So what are all of us left with? Mostly Major and minor chords based on the regular scales and the modes. The chord progressions are simple r and often start on the l chord. No ll-V-l progressions here.
What about melody? In jazz, all of us have a soloist who often plays a lot of chromatic notes. This is rare in new age music because it would produce dissonance. New age melodies tend to be softer and more on the spiritual side. Solos, Assuming that the re are any, are not so much concerned with the expression of the self than they are with letting the music express itself. A subtle but wonderfully vital distinction. Jazz players could have some ego invested in their performance. New age musicians learn to let the music performance them. They learn to become a channel for the music itself allowing it to speak through them. Of course, I am not saying that this can’t happen in Jazz, but, just watch a Jazz performer and you’ll see what I mean.
Last but not least is rhythm. Let’s do a comparison/contrast betwixt Jazz and New Age music. Jazz has a definite discernible rhythm. It’s what makes Jazz Jazz. New age music could have a pattern or an underlying rhythm to the music. It may be used to produce trance like states in the listener. Drums are often a part of Jazz music. Percussion is mostly absent from the New Age sound simply because it wouldn’t add to the atmosphere most New Age musicians create. Timing is wonderfully vital to the Jazz musician. The soloist has the freedom to performance whatever he wants as long as he maintains the meter and stays in time. New Age music is more elastic in that timing is there, but isn’t a master of the player. The New Age player could disregard time altogether. Just listen to Zen flute music as a good example of this.
Now, what does all this mean for the aspiring New Age musician? A couple of good things. It means that there is a definite new age “sound” out there. That it is here to stay and that individuals like and need to hear it. And it means that there are some guidelines out there for what defines the meaning of New Age music.

I am not sure if any person has been watching out there, about the categories of music that all of us are listening to. Let us look at them for a minute. Our grandparents listen to music like ; “Happy Days are Here Again, the Skies Above Are Clear Again.” kids today listen to RAP, which actually begins with a ‘C’ except the ‘C’ is silent in this new spelling and pronunciation. Its really, CRAP. A radio station in TX is actually called K-RAP. Perfect.
It isn’t that the music is so bad; actually it is good, because its rhythm and cadence puts individuals in a convergence state of mind. In other words it puts them into theta state of mind and that’s where it is easier to suggest a new thought or to brainwash in sleep state. The initiation of such brainwaves is dynamic indeed. The tactics are also used in certain churches and Sales and motivational seminars. also during commercials and government uses them to some degree for vital resolution s, for instance cadence in military marching. The gangster rap isn’t good in that it suggests killing, drugs, other gang activities while putting its listener into the convergence state of mind. This is a negative thing, and could cause these individuals to dwell on certain thoughts and give them pointers that they could with proper gang mentality attempt one or more of the activities talked about in the tunes. It would be much better to have tunes with that type of cadence, which promote d good deeds and love. Perhaps there are a lot of of these categories of tunes yet they do not sell wonderfully well and I do not here positive rap tunes as much as I should. Mostly the Gangster Rap.
a lot of Techno type tunes are also negative in nature. But these tunes do not have the proper beats per minute to put a person into a trance like state, where suggestive behavior is introduced that’s a throw back to before the human change in society. It’s possible to disallow this type of music? Music is an escape for a lot of individuals to the fast paced life, and being in a trace state is could a good state to be in, if one wanted to escape from the world for a while. A strong Bass in a song and certain beats per minute introduce this convergence state, then the subject is 100 percent ready for fresh new input. Theta States of mind are induced and a waken dream state offers for simple subconscious input.
But what are all of us allowing to be put into these minds of altered state? tunes of this nature are better than drugs, yet the drugs would effect the singular and not the victims of the deed that are done once the behavior of an individual are altered through this convergence. There is freedom of expression in this country yet the fans are not realizing the effect of the changes as they occur. They are being brain was hed while listening to their favorite music. Which become more favored because it puts them in a trace state allowing them to escape from problems of life. Hey no one said life was simple, right? I believe Rappers should be thrown in the trash cans, not littering the minds of our youth. It expenses organizations resources for graffiti cleaning and tax payers resources in police. The fee to society is too excellent to calculate as a whole, but it is real. Rather than eliminate a cultural phenomena.
Let us instead make each record label and musician (I use this loosely as I do not approve of the RAP, but without passing judgment) produce 10 tunes with positive lyrics for every one song of negative lyrics. That solves that problem. individuals could still escape in their trance state, record organizations still make resources, the constitution is still upheld, but there will be less negative and more positive thought going on when trance like state is producing more of one chemical in the brain than another. A person in this state is simple to recognize, their eyes are glossy and remain so for while after wards.

There is more live music going on in Austin, Texas on any given night than there is in any other city in the world. That’s why the city has put a trademark on it is slogan “Live Music Capital of the World.”
There are 100’s of live music Venues in the city and its immediate environs. a lot of are situated in three central entertainment districts: Sixth Street/Red River, the Warehouse district and South Austin. Sixth Street/Red River is the famous sector in downtown Austin that’s known around the world for it is live music scene and often boisterous crowds that fill Sixth Street on the weekends when it is closed to traffic. The Warehouse district runs west from Congress Ave. along Fourth and Fifth Streets. That’s where Antone’s is located, the Venue that America Today has named the optimum blues venue in the country. In South Austin, there are a number of venues on South Congress, South 1st St. and South Lamar that offer up some of the optimum new and original music in town.
The road to its live music capital status began way back in the 1960’s when a spirit of eclecticism appeared with the hippies and anti-war protesters of that era. Inclusion was in and exclusion was out, no pun intended. With the 70’s, this eclectic spirit gave birth to a form of music that was often called progressive country. Joe Ely, along with co-Lubbockites Jimmy Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock, brought this music down to Austin and hooked up with Marcia Ball and Delbert McClinton and cosmic cowboys like Jerry Jeff Walker, Michael Martin Murphy, Rusty Weir and Ray Wiley Hubbard. Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings came back from Nashville during that time to set tle in Austin where they could take control of the production of their tunes. A wild and dynamic musical vortex formed that saw psychedelic rock and roll mix with straight out country and blues at Venues such as the Armadillo World Headquarters, Threadgill’s, the Soap Creek Saloon and the Broken Spoke. It was cool to dig the psychedelic sound of the 13th Floor Elevators and the uncompromising country licks of Alvin Crow at the same time.
Then, in 1975, a 30-minute University of Texas music program was accepted by a number of PBS affiliate stations and Austin City Limits was launched and has become the longest running program in the annals of PBS. It has propelled Austin to the forefront of the music industry ’s consciousness in the America and around the world. That 1st program featured Willie Nelson, but has since put Texas music notables such as Marcia Ball, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Asleep at the Wheel and a lot of, a lot of others in the national and world spotlight.
In more recent years, the South by Southwest showcase every Spring that brings nearly 1500 musicians and musical acts to town to be seen and heard by industry executives and AR categories, along with the Austin City Limits Festival in September, have kept the city on the national music map. In addition, dozens of other smaller festivals are held each year, as well as a number of nationally significant ones in the surrounding Hill Country such as the Kerrville Folk Festival and the Old set tlers Reunion in Buda, just south of town.
The Austin music scene has always been a free-wheeling, break-the-mold, think-out-of-the-box type of affair. That early eclecticism lives on in the current scene, although some characteristics of the town’s soundscape seem to have become entrenched. Sixth Street/Red River attracts a young, get together animal type of crowd with it is rock and roll, blues and punk scene. The Warehouse district caters to a bit older and more professional crowd in general. And South Austin retains the feel of Austin in the 70’s with its nouveau hippie coffeehouses and crowds and its prefer ence for good singer/songwriters. Still, there are always exceptions to those general tendencies just about anywhere you go.
Austin remains a city where musical creativity and skill thrive and defy expectations. That may be experienced close up and individual in any number of live music Venues on any given night.

Music has always played a major part of my life, as from the earliest age I could remember classical music constant ly playing in our home. Dad had a lot of 78s and an electric player which necessitated frequent needle change s. In fact I used to watch him change them religiously every eight plays – not something he would let any person else do!!
As kids, all of us used to give singing recitals – especially at Christmas times!! I am grateful for the exposure our parents gave us to music – even if dad was a bit single minded when, in the late 50’s my brother Kenneth, bought home a recording of a new rock-n-roll singer called Buddy Holly I think dad thought it was not proper music and that the record could n’t possibly be up to the same standard as his Beethoven or Mozart recordings!!
He used to have constant discussions with Kenneth about playing them on his’ radiogram. And as for the Beatles and Rolling Stones records I wanted to performance a few years later – no comment!!
Both my two brothers were taught to performance classical music on the piano by our Aunty Win. For myself; it was 1962 and I was far too interested in my Uncle Frank’s brand new MGB roadster to concentrate – try as my mum did to promote me!!
My eldest brother, Robert, turned out to be a highly accomplished musician – playing the French horn professionally for a lot of years. Kenneth, my other brother, in later years, would get all his beer bought for him in the NAFFI bar, bashing out tunes when all of us had a set – mind you he always had a bad head the next day!
After I left home and joined the British Armed Forces, I have to say my mates weren’t too happy about Grieg being played in the barrack room. Same problem as my dad had – diverse music. So I had to use earphones to listen to him. But when ‘The Who’ came on – now, that was a diverse story – then all of us used to get into trouble with the Duty Sergeant for playing the music too loud!!
Anyway, over the years, I have developed a passion for all categories of music and my collection of vinyl records has now grown to include Amadeus Mozart through to Led Zeppelin. But, I guess if I had to select just one piece of music to take to that desert island it would have to be:
Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra No1 in F Minor, Op 73
My favorite recording of this outstanding piece: (only one of a few !)
Deutshe Grammophon 136550 SLPEM (stereo – 1968) Karl Leister, Clarinet, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.
I bought this recording whilst stationed in Ger a lot of in 1970 – since then I have capture ed other fine recordings of the Concerto, but I find Karl Leister’s interpretation of the Adagio(in particular) perfectly captures Mozart’s objective of writing the most profoundly expressive movement for a solo instrument.
90.Free Country Music Internet Radio
For generations, radio has been a source of information and entertainment. Over the years modern developments have been partnered to match modern trends and needs. With the advent of Internet and PC appliances, most organizations have in business d functional change s. This holds true even in the case of radio stations that have reinvented their approach towards expansive casting. Country music radio stations no longer serve as a simple medium. To compete with other radio channels, TV and Internet sources, free Internet radio has gained popularity. Country music offers a expansive variety and it becomes increasingly difficult to classify the diverse categories of classical music. AM and FM country music radio stations previously played a few tracks in a row. Virtually all of these collections had wonderfully few classics and fans had to make do with repeated tracks. This fuelled the need for country music Internet radio.
AM and FM radio no longer dominate as mediums to deliver music. Expansion and development of the satellite and free Internet “radio” has been fast due to low startup and operating expenses. Free Internet radio channels are able to store a large collection of classic country music. For this reason, fans with diverse country music preferences are able to assess their choice s. Numerous free country music Internet radio sources are dedicated to particular genres of country music.
Even though Internet radio evolved over a decade ago, the mechanism is yet to develop to its full potential. Studies reveal that free country music Internet radio sources are a popular choice for young fans. Since Internet sources are simple to use, a number of older and retired individuals have also turned to free country music Internet radio sources. This is because most members of the older generation were a part of the country classic music scene when it was booming.
